Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

Welcome to Little Earth Studio. By booking a class, workshop, membership, firing service or purchasing products through our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Our aim is to create a welcoming, creative and respectful environment for everyone. Please take a moment to read these terms before making a booking.

Bookings & Payments

All bookings must be paid in full prior to the commencement of classes, workshops or services unless an approved payment plan has been arranged.

Your place is not confirmed until payment has been received.

We accept payment through the methods available on our website.

Term Classes

Our term classes run over either four or eight consecutive weeks.

As each class builds on the previous week's learning, we are unable to offer make-up classes, refunds or credits for missed sessions.

Please ensure you are available for the duration of the term before booking.

Workshops

Workshop bookings are non-transferable without prior approval.

If you are unable to attend, our cancellation policy will apply.

Participants must arrive on time. Unfortunately, late arrivals may miss important demonstrations and instruction.

Cancellation Policy

More than 14 days before your booking:
A full refund or studio credit is available.

7–14 days before your booking:
A studio credit will be issued.

Less than 7 days before your booking:
No refunds or credits can be provided.

If Little Earth Studio cancels a class due to insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive the choice of a full refund, transfer or studio credit.

Clay, Materials & Finished Work

Term classes include up to 10kg of clay.

Additional clay may be purchased if required.

Workshop inclusions are outlined on each booking page.

While every care is taken during drying, firing and glazing, ceramics are fragile and the occasional piece may crack, warp or break during the making or firing process.

By participating in our studio, you acknowledge that ceramic losses are an inherent part of the process. Little Earth Studio cannot guarantee the successful completion of every piece and is not liable for accidental damage occurring during firing.

Collection of Work

Finished work generally takes between 6–8 weeks to complete, depending on drying and kiln schedules.

Customers will be notified when work is ready for collection.

Finished work must be collected within three months of notification.

Items left beyond this time may be donated, recycled or disposed of due to limited storage space.

Studio Safety

Participants agree to follow all instructions provided by staff.

Closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Please wear clothing you don't mind getting messy.

For wheel throwing classes, short fingernails are strongly recommended for the best experience.

Anyone behaving in an unsafe, abusive or disruptive manner may be asked to leave without refund.

Children

Children attending classes or workshops remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian unless the activity is specifically advertised as a supervised children's program.

Memberships & Open Studio

Members must complete the required studio induction before using the studio independently.

Members agree to:

  • Respect fellow makers and staff.

  • Clean all equipment and work areas after use.

  • Return tools to their designated locations.

  • Use equipment safely and responsibly.

  • Report damaged equipment promptly.

  • Lock the studio securely when leaving if they are the last person present.

  • Respect studio opening hours and neighbouring businesses.

Memberships are billed monthly.

Two weeks' notice is required before the next billing period if you wish to cancel your membership.

Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing period has commenced.

Kiln Firing Services

We reserve the right to refuse work that is unsafe, improperly prepared or unsuitable for firing.

While every care is taken, firing ceramics always carries an element of risk. Little Earth Studio cannot accept responsibility for cracking, glaze faults, explosions, colour variation or kiln-related damage.

Customers are responsible for ensuring their work is suitable for firing.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Photography

From time to time we may photograph classes, workshops or finished work for promotional purposes.

If you would prefer not to appear in photographs, please let a staff member know before your class.

Website & Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including photographs, text, logos and artwork, remains the property of Little Earth Studio unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Participation in ceramic activities involves the use of tools, equipment and materials.

By attending Little Earth Studio, participants acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to participate at their own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Little Earth Studio is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage arising from participation in classes, workshops, memberships or use of studio facilities, except where required by law.

Privacy

Personal information collected through bookings will only be used for administration, communication and providing our services.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law or necessary to process your booking.
